SUPPORT THE SOUCE:

Sysco Portland, along with our hard working associates, have joined in support of Food Hub, EcoTrust, FoodAlliance and the Oregon Restaurant & Lodging Association.  The goal of these partnerships is to support the sources of great products, local growers and family businesses in Oregon and Southwest Washington.  In turn, we learn about each other and our common desire for local, sustainable food service products.

As this ongoing effort continues to grow, we appreciate the opportunity to share our knowledge and expertise with our customers.  The food service business continues to change, sometimes quickly and sometimes slowly, and Sysco Portland is dedicated to providing the leadership to keep up with the current trends by distributing the foods & services your customers want!

---- Share Our Strength (large)

Share Our Strength® is a national organization that works to ensure no kid in America grows up hungry.  Working with Sysco and others, SOS weaves together a net of community groups, activists and food programs to catch children facing hunger and surround them with nutritious food where they live, learn and play.

SOS also works with the culinary industry to create engaging, pioneering programs like Share Our Strength’s Taste of the Nation®, Share Our Strength’s Great American Bake Sale®, Share Our Strength’s Great American Dine Out™, and Share Our Strength’s Cooking Matters™. The Cooking Matters program leads hands-on courses that give participants the know-how to select tasty and low-cost ingredients and teaches healthy cooking techniques and recipes to maximize family nourishment.

Why your support is needed:
Nearly 17 million— almost one in four—children in America face hunger. Without access to nutritious foods these children will likely endure lifelong consequences: poorer health, fatigue, hospitalizations, behavioral difficulties and impaired performance at school.

Please make the time to learn more about child hunger in America and join Sysco supporting Share Our Strength!
